Ghanaian coach happy with squad



Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah has hailed his team composition ahead of their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi on Saturday.


The tactician insisted that they have assembled a good squad while he explained the absence of Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu who will miss the match.
“I believe Ghana has good talent. Theyoung players were not given audience eight years ago, we depended on a set of players but since I took over, I sought to bring new players,” he told supersport.com.
“Agyemang-Badu has a knee problem. Udinese team doctor sent a report to the



FA and we were advised to let him have proper treatment.”
He also continued to explain on the availability of Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien who is currently on loan to Real Madrid.
“Essien was a bit off the pitch with Chelsea but now he is getting playing time. Him and Sulley Muntari who is recovering from injury are part of the team and both will be back soon.”
As much as they have a 2-0 win secured win at home, Appiah maintains they still have work to do.
“This tie isn’t over, Malawi have a decent team and we just need to give our best and in the end we can qualify
